Backflare
Invite-only beta

Your Google Drive, safely backed up — and actually yours.

Google can lock you out of your own files. Your Backflare vault, they can't. Keep a private, read-only copy of your Drive and restore any file, from any day.

Read-only Encrypted Restore any day
How it works

Protected in under two minutes.

Connect once. We do the rest, quietly, forever.

01

Connect your Drive

Sign in with Google and grant read-only access. We never see your password.

02

We back it up

Your files are copied to an encrypted vault and kept current as they change.

03

Restore anytime

Browse any past day and pull back a file, a folder, or your whole Drive.

A locked or banned Google account can vanish overnight. Your backup can't.

Backflare keeps an independent copy in storage you can own — so a glitch, a wrongful suspension, or an accidental delete never costs you your files.

How your data is protected
Why Backflare

The backup Google can't be.

Everything Takeout isn't — automatic, point-in-time, and truly yours.

Time-travel restore

Browse your Drive exactly as it looked on any past day and recover any version.

Read-only & safe

We only ever read. Backflare cannot change or delete a single thing in your Drive.

Docs become real files

Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are exported to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Yours forever

Stored in object storage you can own. No lock-in — run it on your own Cloudflare.

Always current

Incremental backups keep up with every change automatically. Set it and forget it.

Integrity-verified

Every restore is checksum-verified, byte-for-byte. What you get back is exactly what you had.

Not another export

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is it safe to connect my Drive?
Yes. Backflare requests read-only access — we can copy your files but physically cannot modify or delete anything in your Drive.
Why does Google show a warning when I connect?
Backflare is in invite-only beta, so Google shows a “hasn't verified this app” screen for every new app under review. Choose Advanced → Go to Backflare to continue.
Where is my data stored?
Encrypted, content-addressed object storage on Cloudflare, and integrity-verified on every restore. See the details.
Can I leave whenever I want?
Always. Disconnect to stop backups, or delete your vault to remove every stored copy. No lock-in, and you can even self-host the whole thing.
What does it cost?
It's free during the beta while we keep the group small.

Stop hoping Google never glitches.

Make a safe, restorable copy of your Drive in the next two minutes.
